University of Oklahoma Interactive DVD-ROM – Medicine & Humanities
Challenge:
The University of Oklahoma Health & Science College needed a proven partner for the production of an interactive program dealing with humanities in training medical physicians. The program would feature experts from across the county in written and video formats. Students and practicing doctors would be able to receive Continuing Medical Education (CME) credits for passing the program.
Solution:
Working closely with OUHSC, Gearbox Studios designed a multimedia platform to present the various elements – text, audio voice-over, illustrations, video, and interactive testing. The final product is a virtual classroom on a disc. Using this DVD-ROM, students and doctors can learn about the application of literature and the humanities in the training of medical professionals.
